An iconic reincarnation

Originally erected in 1880, the building served as the Semaphore Water Tower for the next 20 years, before being converted to a private residence in 1972. In 2023, the tower was purchased by its visionary owner, Daniel Johnson.

After a multi-million dollar luxover, The Vantage will stand as a testament to the building’s heritage, while being the height of refined luxury and the epitome contemporary comforts.

The suites below the tower

To the rear of The Vantage grounds and nestled around the base of the tower sit The Suites. While these six premium, 2-bedroom, all-inclusive residences offer a different level of accommodation to the tower, they offer a great deal of the same appeal. 

They're a short walk from the beach and Semaphore’s eclectic main street – and are an excellent alternative base from which to visit the region.

I found this incredible 1880s heritage water tower overlooking the beaches of Adelaide and immediately decided I wanted to create an experience for people who like the finer things in life with a touch of the extraordinary.
